Do not underestimate Password When Nobody Wants Like This!

Jakarta - A survey conducted by Kaspersky Lab cyber intelligence tests by users shows that most of them are less wary of the password (password) that they use.

Only 38% of those who made a strong password for each account, while 1 of 7 users (14%) only have one the same password for all their accounts.

If users have the same password on multiple accounts, they are at risk of data leakage. The risk level does not vary much for those users who only have a few passwords for accounts considerable amount (36%) and those who use the same password pattern variation (12%).

"Unfortunately, not many people understand the true scale of the threat arising from the use of the Internet and is not serious enough in protecting online data personal to them, and increase the risk of data loss significantly," said David Emm, Principal Security Researcher at Kaspersky Lab through its official statement on Sunday (13/12/2015).

"A strong password is different for each account is an important fundamental element in protecting digital identities. You can certainly think of a single algorithm in making passwords that are not easy to solve but easy to remember. Of course there are also special programs that facilitate the creation and storage of passwords, "he continued.

According to other surveys, which makes the situation quite complicated is one of ten users are likely to have a password less than eight characters.

Meanwhile, 12% are reluctant to make a password more difficult to guess. For example, the use of capital letters, merging numbers with letters, punctuation, or other similar tricks.

Worse, the results of this study also revealed that the users endangering their security by putting the password in an easily accessible location, or even in an unsafe place.

More than half of respondents (57%) claim that their password is placed on a piece of paper, on mobile phones, in a text file on the computer, and store it in a browser.

Even when the browser offers storage service login and password, a third of the users tend to agree. This is certainly a big risk, especially such devices switch to the hands of cyber criminals or people who have bad intentions.
