In the normal process, the process of destruction (resorption) and renewal (formation) of bone takes place in a balanced way so there is no reduction in bone mass. If the resorption process occurs more frequently than the process of formation, this causes bone mass deficits and lead to osteoporosis. Osteoporosis can also be caused due to the use of drugs or certain diseases.
